The Montreal Canadiens have traded Carey Price’s contract and a 5th-round draft pick to the San Jose Sharks in exchange for defenseman Gannon Laroque.
Carey Price was a legendary goaltender and one of the best of his era, but his career, which was on the rise, was unfortunately cut short by a knee injury during the 2021/22 season. Due to his contract, Montreal had been looking to move on in order to gain more cap space and financial flexibility.
Rumors about a possible trade of Price’s contract had been circulating for quite some time, and today it has finally become reality.
